Pet logistics, run by people who answer the phone.

PetXpress was built because moving an animal should not feel like tracking a parcel. We are a Maryland-based team of coordinators, veterinary partners and handlers who move pets across borders with the same care we would want for our own.

It started with a dog in the back of a hatchback.

In 2020, our founders helped a military family move a senior Labrador from Maryland to Texas. The airline paperwork was wrong, the crate was too small, and nobody could tell the family where the dog actually was. The dog arrived — but the experience was unacceptable.

That trip became a checklist, then a company. We built PetXpress around three promises: legal paperwork prepared by people who read the regulations, a crate that fits the animal rather than the airline's minimum, and a tracker that tells you what actually happened, not just that something is “in transit”.

Today we coordinate air, ground and sea moves across 150+ countries through a vetted partner network. We are still small enough that a coordinator knows your pet's name — and large enough to handle the paperwork, layovers and border checks that make international moves complicated.

150+ countries

Licensed local partners in every region.

Species-inclusive

IPATA member

IATA LAR

Four rules we do not bend.

Welfare before schedule

If a vet says stop, we stop. No route or deadline outranks the animal in the crate.

Compliance is non-negotiable

Every document is checked twice before it reaches a border. We would rather delay than risk quarantine.

Named accountability

One coordinator owns your file. You get a name, a direct line and honest updates — including bad news.

Calm by design

Crate acclimation, quiet layovers and species-appropriate handling are built into every itinerary.
